Inspector Gadget also brought a look to TV animation that, while not unfamiliar, was still yet to be ubiquitous. When Inspector Gadget became one of several weekday animated series created for first-run syndication (a tectonic programming shift initiated by Filmation’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for every studio to follow, including Disney), it also set a major new animation enterprise into motion.
